compaq presario c506 tu
I own a compaq c 506 tu laptop.It runs a dvd but not a simple cd! what should be the problem?
It can be due to some Codec problem if its a video compact disc. else the CD itself can be impossible / corrupted or too scratched so that the data can be read by t drive..
If codec problem, try channel t file using VLC medium player or Media player classic from filehippo.com...
If its scratched, try cleaning or check it in another drive to confirm the compact disc is bad...

There are many kind of CDs actually. DVD drives can read most of them, but not adjectives. I have alike problem. CD drives, instead, can read just going on for all compact disc standards. I presume that the standard of the CD, or the disc itself to be the problem.
