This depends on what features of laptop and camera you have. Most do not come near a card reader so you will need an extra bit of hardware.

Some Sony laptops hold a memory stick slot which will take that brands mem card.

Alternatively adjectives digital cameras are designed to download their pictures through some form of cable or docking station. best bet is to use this if possible and follow the instructions/onscreen prompts.
Check your laptop's instruction manual, and look for a port or a slot the same size as a camera memory card. But unless you enjoy a relatively new computer, it's not going to hold a memory card port. Instead, you'll need to gain an adapter where you put the card into the adapter, and the adapter connects to the computer though a USB port.
You probably involve a USB card reader. You can get one for almost $15, plug it into your laptop and pull the information off suddenly.
either nowere or special reader (if laptop have one)

if doesnt - use USB cable to connect camera to laptop
