the compaq. and get a b/g wireless card, not with the sole purpose b.
um.. the first laptop has 6gb harddrive..?

I would go for a 'proper' be paid like Compaq, Dell or HP a bit than a Johnny no-make any time. The key is to settle on what you want it for, and then choose a specification. I would suggest you want at least 512Mb of RAM, at most minuscule 60Gb disk.
