my laptop have a wirless switch.when its off theres for a time light thats red, and when you turn it on the light is supposed to turn blue, even if you are not connected to the internet. When I turn the switch on the desk light stays orange. And my wireless internet isn't working. The HP wireless assistant won't clear either. Is near anyway I could fix this without have the internet on that computer, and without have to purchase anything? What's even wrong with it?

I enjoy been have the same problem and be doing some research all afternoon on it. I have found that here is a problem with the HP motherboards. It seem like an issue next to the wireless adapter but the motherboard is failing to connect to the adapter. I am currently waiting for FedEx to come pick up my laptop to send it to HP to hold the motherboard replaced at no charge.
Not unless you are able to filch apart the laptop and do a diagnostic test to isolate the exact issue consequently my quess is you are going to have to lift it in and enjoy it worked on

Try Control Panel/Networks and verify it is enabled in the software. If it say disabled, right click and make test.
